"Your days of staying away from weeds and murky waters are over. Grab a Slickfish
and get in there!"– Slickfish customer
Big fish don't stand a chance. (Any questions?)
What is the Slickfish lure made out of?
Matte colored lures are made of Acrylonitrile butadiene styrene, better known by the acronym "ABS" and impregnated with a foaming agent to create greater buoyancy. Transparent lures are made from clear polycarbonate. The trigger is ABS with a special self-lubricating agent that gives a smooth action. Twin Matsua hooks driven by a stainless steel torsion spring complete the Slickfish lure ensemble. Quality assurance is synonymous with Slickfish Lures!
Why should I use Slickfish?
Slickfish was designed for safety. Anglers no longer have to worry about snagging a fishing buddy, wife, or one of the kids. Internal hooks eliminate that possibility. Slickfish was designed with the tackle box in mind. Internal hooks mean tangled lures are a thing of the past – remove one lure at a time, not three or four. Slickfish was designed with children in mind. Internal hooks mean kids can begin fishing earlier – Tiger Woods began golfing at age four! Ultimately, Slickfish was designed with heavy cover in mind. Internal hooks mean you can fish the moss, weeds, hydrilla, lily-pads and even timber. Why shouldn't you use Slickfish?
How do you fish with Slickfish?
Be imaginative! Fish top water if the situation calls for it. You know the drill: twitch it, pop it, and wait. Make Slickfish act like a wounded bait fish. What about in the pads? Flip and jig works well, or skitter across the top popping in and out of the holes. No matter what, you'll make contact. If your target is hanging out in three to five feet of water, try a Texas rig and get down to where the action is waiting. What about suspended bass in 25 to 30 feet of water? Carolina rig it and get in the strike zone!
Do you have other lures in the Slickfish product line?
Soon, Slickfish will be available in various sizes: small, medium, and large. A fat bellied minnow body is under development and will soon be available in various sizes also. And, so you die-hard soft plastic people won't feel left out, Slickfish will add a soft plastic line of worms, tubes, craws, etc. So, check back often!
Can Slickfish be compared in price to conventional lures?
Can you compare apples to oranges? Absolutely not. There is no other torsion-spring driven lure on the market. There is no other lure out there that can sincerely claim to be 100% weedless. But if you must compare prices, check out your local sporting good store and see conventional lures selling for up to $30 and $45. Check out the online sporting goods stores listed on eBay and you'll find the same prices. Of course, you can buy a $2 lure, but what do you have? Slickfish, comparatively speaking, is a bargain at $18 and you get the added value of being 100% weedless. By the way, how much money might you save in lost lures?
